My Story
I was born in 1982, a native of Kiel, am married and father of three wonderful kids. I am an absolute technology enthusiast in a variety of areas. I love woodworking and taking care of my colorful garden.
For many years I have been designing individual cloud solutions as an architect. In more than 10 years I have managed countless IT projects where my very analytical and goal-oriented way of working has always helped me. The topic of the modern workplace is as much on my agenda as data center transformation and cloud migrations.
Over the past 15+ years, I have worked for various telecom and IT companies. Currently, I am working as an Enterprise Cloud Architect for Capgemini, one of the world’s leading providers of management and IT consulting. As Head of the Microsoft Cloud Guild, together with my team of 200+ employees, I guide medium and large enterprises of all types on their journey towards modern working and / or support their data center transformations into the public cloud. My special focus is on the Microsoft Cloud ecosystem.

Microsoft Certified Expert
Having successfully attained both the AZ-300 and AZ-301 certifications in September 2020, I proudly hold the title of “Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert.” In this role, I shoulder the crucial responsibility of collaborating with stakeholders and translating intricate business requirements into secure, scalable, and dependable cloud solutions.
An Azure Solution Architect collaborates closely with cloud administrators, cloud database administrators, and various client stakeholders to effectively implement solutions.
To excel in the capacity of a Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, one must possess an extensive wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience across a spectrum of IT domains. These include networking, virtualization, identity management, security, business continuity, disaster recovery, data management, budgeting, and governance. Those occupying this role wield decision-making influence in these areas, shaping comprehensive solutions.
In the ever-evolving landscape of Microsoft cloud technology, maintaining up-to-date knowledge and unwavering commitment is paramount. Consequently, this certification carries a one-year validity, necessitating annual re-certification. Without fail, I have diligently re-certified each year since my initial achievement in 2020.
